Gibson ES-135 | Freddie King's "Hideaway"
This is a demo of me playing a Gibson ES-135 (with P-100 pickups). I'm using the middle pickup position and playing through a Marshall AVT 50 Valvestate 2000 amp, Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive and an MXR Super Comp Compressor. The backing track was created in ProTools using the Xpand Plugin.



'72 Fender Stratocaster | "I Know a Little"
One of my favorite intros from guitarist Steve Gaines of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Learning this made me appreciate what a great blues player Steve was. This video provides an example of the tone from a '72 Reissue Fender Stratocater (MIM). I'm using the 2nd pickup position (Bridge and Middle pickups together) and I'm playing through a Marshall AVT 50 Valvestate 2000 amp, with a Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive and MXR Super Comp Compressor. The Amp is mic'd with a Shure SM58 and recorded using Protools 7.4.



Fender Baja Telecaster | "Demo"
This is a sample of me playing my Fender Baja Telecaster. I'm using the bridge (broadcaster style) pickup position and playing through a Marshall AVT 50 Valvestate 2000 amp, Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive and an MXR Super Comp Compressor.



Taylor 214e Guitar | Little Martha by Duane Allman | "Demo"
This is a demo of a Taylor 214e Acoustic Guitar. I'm using Extra Light Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings. I mic's the guitar with an Audio Technica AT4040 into my ProTools system.



Fender Blues Junior vs Marshall AVT50 | Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus
This my comparison of a 15 watt Fender Blues Junior and a Marshall AVT50 (Valvestate2000) combo guitar amp. Although this demo should not be considered an "end-all" comparison of "Fender " and "Marshall" tones, it will provide a general idea of the differences between the two amp builder's tones. I'm using my 2009 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus to demo these amps.

TECH SPECS: The amps are both recorded using Shure SM-58 mics through ProTools. Both amps are set to a "Blues" type EQ Treble(5), Mid(5)*, Bass (6.5) Reverb(4). The guitar is plugged straight into each amp with only a Morley ABC switcher in-between to split the signal.

* Marshall "Clean" channel does not have a "Mid" EQ setting.



Agile AL-2000 | Les Paul Copy | Review
An amazing, affordable Les Paul copy with a classic Humbucker tone. This is a review and sound demo of an Agile AL-2000 through a Marshall AVT50 amp. I demo it both clean and with overdrive. I'm using an MXR Compressor and, for the overdrive, a Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive.
